I saw that there will be 4 classes in game. Now I was wondering if you choose a class and develop it like in single play rpgs and mmos or do you simply choose a pre-made class during a match like in shooters such as quake wars, wolfenstein etc... What would you all prefer?

I hope it uses a persistant charachter system, so you keep the same charachter no matter where you play and can upgrade it over time with your experience, then the classes are just bases to start from )ie. ranger, warrior, sorcerer, healer, etc)

Aye that's what I was hoping too, it would give us something to work towards. I'm wondering if the classes will be as complex as those found in mmo's.

We will try to make more complex character development than in usual multiplayer games such as BF. You will have 4 races to choose (may be more after the release). Each race can choose a god to worship. The god is a prototype of a game class. Besides you can be a free warrior, without any god. If you count the free warrior as a class we will have 5 classes in total - 4 gods and 1 free class. We will describe the character development system in more details later.

I think most close class to Archer is a human race. Their main ranged weapon is a bow.

Each race has it's own ranged weapon. Humans ranged weapon is a bow.
